The 50's - The Origin

This is how it all started, bored surfers with no waves. Back in the 50's when there was no waves to surf or when surfers didn't live near the beach they had to keep on surfing, but how? The first skateboard was not made by one person or a group of people. Actually instead, it seems that several people came up with similar ideas at the same time. Several people have claimed to have invented the skateboard first, but nothing can be proved, and skateboarding remains a strange creation. The first skateboard was a piece of 2x4 with Rollerblade wheels attached to the bottom, this was done to try and recreate the feeling of riding a wave. So basically surfing is the mother of skateboarding, that's were the idea came from. As the years went by people tweaked with the board until it fufilled the satisfaction of riding a wave.
