The 80's - Plywood Ramps, Vert/Street, Tony Hawk
The 80's was a great era for skateboarding. The sport was popular and a lot of new skateboarders were rising. Empty pools were very popular and ramps were not easy to find, so people started making plywood ramps in their own back yard. The plywood ramps was a popular thing, almost everyone who skated had one. The 80's were also a time were street and vert skateboarding split up. The vert skaters were more into skating ramps, getting air, and hitting the half pipe. Street skaters were more freestylers and fllip trickers.
